ORDINANCE, 1979

Promulgated by the President in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of
India.
An Ordinance further to amend the Contingency Fund of India
Act, 1950.
WHEREAS the House of the People has been dissolved and the Council of States is not in session and the President is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action;
Now, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 123 of t he Constitution, t he President is pleased to promulgate t he following Ordinance: —
(Amendment) Ordinance, 1979.
1. (1) This Ordinance may be called the Contingency F u nd of India short title and C 0 m~ (2) It shall come into force at once.

'Provided that during the rper^d beginning on.the date of com- mencement of the Contingency Fund of India (Amendment) Ordi- nance, 1979, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1980, this section shall have effect subject to the modification that for the words "fifty crores of rupees", the words "one hundred and fifty crores of rupees" shall be substituted.'.
