( i) इस अधिसूचना के प्रयोजनों के लिए सप्ताह की गणना, अधि वर्ष (लीप इयर ) में फरवरी मास के सिवाए, किसी कलैन्डर मास के पहले से 7वें दिन तक , 8वें दिन से 14वें दिन तक , 15वें से 21वें दिन तक भौर 22वें से 28वें दिन तक की जाएगी , और अधिवर्ष में फरवरी मास में सप्ताह की गणना पहले से 7वें दिन तक , 8 वें से 14 वें दिन तक 15वें से 21वें दिन तक और 22वें से 29 वें दिन तक की जाएगी ।

New Delhi , the 29th October , 1979
G.S.R. 592 (E) . In pursuance of rule 92B of the Central Excise Rules, 1944 the Central Government hereby fixes , for the different sizes of centrifugals installed for the manufacture of khandsari sugar in the units working with or without the aid ofsulphitation plant , as the case may be , and specified in column (1) of the Table below, the rates of duty calculated from the date of commencement of this notification , per week as specified in the corresponding entry in column (2 ) or column (3 ) thereof, as the case may be .

Provided that-
(i) the week for the purposes of this notification shall be reckoned as from 1st to 7th , 8th to 14th , 15th to 21st and 22nd to 28th day of a calender month except the month of February in a leap year , and the week in the month of February in a leap year shall be reckoned as from 1st to 7th , 8th to 14th , 15th to 21st and 22nd to 29th;
[PART II - SEC . 3 ( 1 ) ]
(ii ) the duty for the remaining 2 or 3 days of the calender month except the month of February , as the case maybe , shall bo calculated at the rate of one- third of the weekly rates of duty specified in column (2) or column (3 ) of the Table, as the case may be , and shall be payable by the manufacturer alongwith the duty payable by him for the fourth week, namely, from 22nd to 28th of that calendar month .
Explanation :-For the purposes of this notification , ' day' means a period of twenty -four hours beginning at 90.00 A.Μ.
This notification shall come into force on the 1st day of November, 1979 .

सा० का० मि० 393 ( अ) केन्द्रीय सरकार, केन्द्रीय उत्पाद शुल्क नियम, 1944 के नियम 92 व भौर अतिरिक्त उत्पाद शुल्क ( विशेष महत्व का माल ) भधिनियम, 1957 ( 1957 का 58) की धारा 3 की उपधारा ( 3 ) के भनुसरण में , यथास्थिति, सल्फाईटेशन रांयंत्र की सहायता से या उसके बिना काम करने वाली यूनिटों में खंडसारी चीनी के विनिर्माण के लिए स्थापित विभिन्न आकारों के अनकेन्द्रियों ( सेंन्ट्रीफ्यूगल ) के लिए जो मीचे की सारणी के स्तंभ ( 1 ) में विनिर्दिष्ट हैं, अतिरिक्त उत्पाद- शुल्क की वरें नियत करती है , जो इस अधिसूचना के प्रारम्भ की तारीख से, उस सारणी के यथास्थिति स्तंभ ( 2) या स्तम्भ ( 3) की तत्स्थामी प्रविष्टियों में विनिविष्ट रूप में प्रप्ति सप्ताह संगणित की जायेंगी ।

( 2) कलेण्डर भास के, फरवरी मास के सिवाय , यथास्थिति, शेष 2 या 3 दिन के लिए शुष्क की गणना सारणी के , यथास्थिति, स्तंभ (2) या ( 3) मे विनिविष्ट साप्ताहिक शुल्क वरों की एक तिहाई दर से की जाएगी भौर शुल्क विनिर्माता द्वारा चौथे सप्ताह के लिए अर्थात उस कलैण्डर मास के 22वें दिन से 28वें दिन तक के लिए संदेय शुल्क के साथ -साथ उसके द्वारा संदेय होगा ।
स्पष्टीकरण:- इस अधिसूचना के प्रयोजनों के लिए ' दिन ' से चौबीस चन्टों की यह अवधि अभिप्रेत है जो प्रातः 9 बजे प्रारम्भ होती है । यह अधिसूचना 1 नवम्बर 1979 को प्रवृत्त होगी ।

In pursuance of rule 92B of the Central Excise Rules , 1944 , and sub- section (3 ) of Section 3 of the Addi- tional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act , 1957 (58 of 1957) , the Central Government hereby fixes for the different sizes of centrifugals installed for the manufacture of khandsari sugar in the units working with or without the aid of sulphitation plants , as the case may be , and specified in column (1) of the Table below, the rates of additional excise duty cal- culatedfromthe date of commencement of this notification per week as specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) or column ( 3) thereof, as the case may be.

स१० ८१० कि० 594 ( प्र) केन्द्रीय सरकार, केन्द्रीय उत्पाद शुल्क नियम, 1944 के नियम 8 के उपनियम ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रवत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्रीय उत्पाद शुल्क भौर नमक अधिनियम, 1944 (1944 का 1) की प्रथम अनुसूची की मद सं० 1 की उपमव सं ० ( 2 ) के अन्तर्गत भाने वाली खांडसारी चीनी को उस पर उदग्रहणीय उतने उत्पाव- शुल्क से छूट बेती है, जितना मूल्यानुमार साढ़े मात प्रतिशत से अधिक है ।

G.S.R. 594(E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- rule (1 ) of rule 8 of Central Excise Rules , 1944 , the Central Government hereby exempts khandsari sugar falling under sub- item (2) of item No. 1 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) from so much of the duty of excise leviable thereon as is in excess of seven and a half per cent ad - valorem.
