NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st October, 1979
G.S.R. 605(t).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub- section (1) of section 642, read with: clause (45) of section 2, of the Com- panies Act, 1956 (J of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the fol- lowing rules further lo amend the 'Companies (Secretary's Qualifications) Rules, 1975, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Companies (Secretary's Qualifications)
Amendment Rules, 1979.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of tbeir publication in the
Official Gazette.
2. In clause (a) of rule 2 of the Companies (Secretary's Qualifications)
Rules, 1975, the following proviso shall be added to the end, namely :—
"Provided further that for a period of three years from (he commence- ment of the Companies (Secretary's Qualifications) Amendment Rules, 1979, nn employee* of such a company having experience of performing secretarial duties or discharging secretarial functions for a period of not less than tea years in a company shall also bo eligible to be appointed as secretary of that company;".
