(Department of Commerce) New Delhi, the 9th November, 1979 EXPORT TRADE CONTROL PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 7fr-ETC(PN)/7" SUBJECT.—Export of Silver Zari Goods in terms of paragraph 3(ii) of the Postal Notice No. 13 dated 3-12-1973, Appendix 17 of Hand Book of Import-Export Procedures, 1979-80.
File No. 21/1/79/EL—Attention is invited to the Exports (Control) Amend- ment Order No. E(CX> 1977/AM(137) dated 2-11-79 read with Department of Commerce Public Notice No. 74-ETC(PN)/79 dated 5-11-79 laying down the export policy of (a) Manufacture and products of Silver with more than 10 per cent silver content; and (b) Silver manufactures having silver content not exceed- ing 10 per cent of the fob value of the manufactured products, the following:
(i) Jewellery (ii) Fabrics in the making or embroidery of which silver or silver zari has
been used
(iii) Electrical and electronic goods
as appearing against S. No. 77(iii) and S. No. 77(iv) of Export Policy 1979-80. 2. It is clarified that in view of the above policy provisions) for allowing export of Silver manufactures and products, the facility for export of Zari goods as provided in paragraph 3(ii) of the Postal Notice No. 13 dated 3-12-1973 of Appendix 17 of Hand Book of Import-Export Procedures, 1979-80 will not be available for export of Zari goods by post and its export will be regulated in terms of policy for export of Silver manufactures and products, as contained in paragraph 1 above.
