IMPORT TRADE CONTROL
SUBJECT : Facilities for impart of raw materials, components etc. without the requirements or import licence by research and development units.
File No, IPC/3/40/79.—Attention Is invited to para 46 of the Import Policy, 1979-80, published under the Department of Commerce Public Notice No. 25- JTQPNJ/79 dated the 3rd May, 1979 read with para 343(iv) of the Hand Book of Import-Export Procedures, 1979-80 published under the Department of Com- merce Public Notice No. 26-ITC(PN)/79 dated the 3rd May, 1979 and Public Notice No. 42-ITC(PN)/79 dated the 20th July, 1979 on the subject mentioned above.
2. In pursuance of the aforesaid para 343(iv) of the Hand Book oi' Import- Export Procedures, 1979-80, the Centre for Earth Science Studies, Trivandrum will also be eligible to import goods under OGL in terms of the aforesaid para 46 of the Import Policy, 1979-80. The imports will be subject to the condi- tions applicable to Research and Development units as laid down in Appendix 10 of the Import Policy, 1979-80.
