1294 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] (1) In Table 2 of the said notification, in the entries i\luting to Sikkim, under columns 2 and 3 :—- i\\) after the entry " 1. Sikkim Congress (R)election to the Legislative Assembly of Sikkim held in Octo- ber, 1979, the Sikkim Janata Parishad is entitled for regis- tration and recognition as a State Party in the State of Sikkim in terms of paragraph 6 of the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order, 1968;
And whereas the Commission has decided to recognise the Sikkim Janata Parishad as a State Party in the State of Sikkim, and reserve the symbol '"Horse" for the said party in Sikkim;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of clause (b) of sub-para- graph (1) and sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 17 and para- graph 18 of the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allot- ment) Order, 1968, the Election Commission hereby makes the following amendments in its notification No. 56/79, dated the 28th September, 1979, published as S. O. 557(E) in the Gazette of Tndia, Extraordinary, Part TT, Section 3(ii) dated the 28th September, 1979, namely :—
Rising Sun' the entry "2. Sikkim Janata Pariihad...
Horse" shall be inserted; and
(b) Ihe. existing entry "2" shall be renumbered a*
"3"; and
(2) In Table 4 of the said notification, in the entries
relating to 18-Sikkim, under column l,—~
(a) item "10. Horse" shall be deleted; and
(h) the existing entries 11 to 16 shall be renumbered as
10 to 15, respectively.
