S.O. 754(E).—In pursuance of sub-section (1) of sec- tion S of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amendment) Act, 1976, the following Order made by the Election Commission under clause (d) of sub-sixtion (3) of section 6 of the Act is hereby published :—
ORDER
Whereas under clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 6 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amend- ment) Act, 1976, the proposals of the Election Commission to amend the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 1976, were published in the Gazette of India and in the Official Gazette of the State of Bihar on 9th September, 1977;
And whereas all objections and suggestions received in relation to the said proposals relating to the State of Bihar were considered by the Commission at the public sitting held at Patna on 3rd November, 1979;
The Commission hereby mates the following amendments in the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Consti- tuencies Order, 1976 (without altering the extent of any constituency as given in such Order) in respect of the State of Bihar—
I. Schedule II of the said Order, against item 3-Bihar— under column 6, the figure "48" shall bo substituted for the figure "46".
n. In Schedule V of the said Order—
(1) In Part A—Parliamentary Constituencies—
(i) In 30-Bhagalpur, in the extent of the constituency, "171—Sultanganj (SC)" shall be substituted for "171—Sultanganj"; and
(ii) In 44—Chatra, in the extent of the constituency, "264—Chatra (SC)" shall be substituted for "264— Chatra".
(2) In Part B—Assembly Constituencies—
(i) The serial No. and name of the constituency, "171—Sultanganj (SC)" shall be substituted for "171—Sultanganj"; and
(ii) The serial No. and name of the constituency, "264—Chatra (SC)" shall be substituted for -264—Chatra"
