8.R.O. 10(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 99A of the Cantonments Act, 1924 (2 of 1924), the Central Government hereby exempts all vehicles u"ed on duty cm behalf of the Election Commission in connection with the conduct of Mid-term general elections to the Lok Sabha during December 1979 lo January 1980, from the payment of any tax imposed on vehicles under the provisions of the said Act, within the local limits of any Cantonment situated in the State of Uttar Pradesh.
