NOTIFICATIONS

CENTRAL EXCISES
G.S.R. 674(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the
Central Government hereby exempts polypropylene staplo
fibre, falling under sub-item (i) of Item No. 18 of the First
Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of
1944), from so much of the duty of excise leviable thereon
as is in excess of one-third of the effective rate of the duty
of excise thereon.
2. This notification shall remain in force upto and inclu-
sive of the 31st May, 1980.
