New Delhi, the 5th January, 1980

G.LS.R. 2(E).—In pursuance of the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs S.O. No. 756(E), dated the 23rd November, 1979, the Central Government hereby appoints the seventh day of January, 1980, M the date on which Ihe Mines and Minerals (Regulation and Development) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957), shall come into force in the State of Sikklm.
