NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 16th January, 1980
G.S.R. 9(E).—Whereas dr;rft of certain rulei further to amend the Prevention of Food Adulteration Rules, 1955 was published under the notification of the Irovernmem nl India in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Department of Ilcltht (.i.S.R.. No. 1321, dated the IKth October, 1979 inviting objections or suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby;
Aud whereas requests have been received from such persons for the exten- sion of the time limn for sending objections or suggestions to the snid notification;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-wection II) of ttc- tion 23 ot thu Prevention of Food Adultciation Act, 1954 (3V ol 1954), the Cen- tral Government hereby makes the following amendment to the snid notification, namely :—
Tn the said notification, in the preamble, in the first paragraph, for the words and figures "lifter the expiry ot 45 days from the date on which the copies of Offiti.il Gazette containing the notification are made availahle to the public" tho following words, figures and letters—
"after the 31st day of March, 1980" shall be substituted.
