New Delhi, the 19th January, 1980
INCOME-TAX
S. O. 40 (K) .—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 295 of the Income-tax Aci, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Income-tax Rules, 1962, namely :-*—
1. (11 Thepe rules may be called the Income-tax (Amendment) Rules, 1980.
(2) They shall come into force at once.
2. In the Income-tax Rule"., 1962, in rule 3fi, for clause fc), the following clause shall be substituted, namely :—
T "(cl Heads of Civil or Military offices for all gazetted officers and others, except those referred to in clause (b), and all non-gazetted offlce%^ whose pay is drnwn on establishment bills or on bills counterslgnJu by the Head of Office ;".
