Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (1) of Section 149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect a person to fill the said vacancy before 29th February, 1980, in accordance with the pro- visions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder.

SO. 71(1).—In pursuance of the provi"ion§ of section 30

of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951),

the Election Commission hereby appoints, with respect to the

bye-election to be held In 2-GuIbarga Parliamentary consti-

tuency in the State of Karnataka in pursuance of its notifica-

tion No. 10O/KT-HP/l/8T5(l), dated 25th January, 1980:—

(a) The 1st February, 1980 (Friday), u the last date for

making nominatioBt ;

(b) The 2nd February, 1980 (Saturday), aa the date for

scrutiny of nominations ;

(c) The 4th February, 1980 (Monday), a" the last date for

the withdrawal of candidature! ;

(d) The 24th February, 1980 (Sunday), as the date on

which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and

S.O. 72(E).—In pursuance of section 56 of the Representa-

tion of the People Act 1951 (43 of 1951) the Election Com-

mission hereby fixes the hours from 8.00 a-m. to 4.00 pjn.

as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken

for the bye-election to the House of the People from 2-

Oulbargm parliamentary constituency in the State of Karnataka

to be held irt pursuance of its Notification No. 100/KT-HU/

1/80(1), dated 25th January, 1980.

(e) The 29th February, ]98O (Friday), aa the date before

which the election shall be completed.
