Subject :—Export of Ivory Products from India—declaration of stocks of old African Ivory imported prior to 4lh February, 1977, held by manu- facturer-exporters as on 19-2-1980.
[Issued froin file No. 25(3)/80-EH].~At present requests, are received by the Ministry of Agriculture for issue of Exemption Certificates for the export of articles made out of African Ivory in which the ivory was imported before February 4, 1977.
2, It is brought to Ihe notice of dealers /manufacturers of ivory articles to declare the stocks of old African ivory imported prior to 4th February, 1977, and lying with them as on 19-2-1980. Such stocks ihould bo declared by them to the AH India Handicraft Board, West BJock VII, ft. K. Furam, New Delhi- 110022 by 29-2-1980. The stocks so declared would be duly verified by the Wild Life Authorities, It may be noted that no exemption certificates for export of ivory articles made of African ivory willl be Usucd after the stocks declared by 29-2-1980, are exhausted.
