NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 3rd March, 1980

CUSTOMSG.S.R. 72(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts alu- minium foil .020 mm thick interlined with tissue paper when (129) 1251 GI/79

130 THE GAZE!TE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PA&T II—SEC. 3(ii)] imported into India for use exclusively in tea chest linings for exports from—

(i) the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the First Schedule to the Cus- toms Tariff Act 1975 (51 of 1975J; and

the Assistant Collector of Customs, bind himself to pay on demand the difference between the duty leviable, and [hat already paid at the time of importation, in respect of such quantity of the said aluminium foil as is not certified to have been used for the aforesaid purpose, by the Director of Industries of the State concerned.

2. This notification shall bo in force uplo and inclusive of (ii) The whole of the additional duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the second mentioned Act :

the 30th day of June, 1980.
