का० ग्रा० 154 ( प ) राष्ट्रपति, लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 (1951 का 43 ) की धारा 12 के अनुसरण में, नीचे सारणी के स्तम्भ 1 में विनिर्दिष्ट प्रत्येक राज्य विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सवस्यों से , उक्त अधिनियम के उपबंधों और तधीन बनाए गए नियमों और आदेशों के प्रनुसार , राज्य सभा के उन सदस्यो के स्थानों को भरने के लिए, जो अपनी पदावधि के अवमान के पश्चात् यथास्थिति , 2 अप्रैल, 1980 या 15 अप्रैल, 1980 को निवृत्त हो रहे हैं, उक्त सारणी के स्तम्भ 2 में उस राज्य के सामने विनिर्दिष्ट संख्या में सदस्यों का निर्वाचन करने की अपेक्षा करते हैं ।

S.O. 154(E). In pursuance of section 12 of the Representa- tion of the People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the President is pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of each State , specified in column 1 of the Table below, to elect , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and the rules and orders made thereunder , the number of members specified against that State in column 2 of the said Table , for filling the seats of such of the members of the Council of States as would be retiring on the 2nd April , 1980 or, as the case may be , the 15th April , 1980 on the expiration of their term of office.

का० श्रा० 155 (प्र ) - राष्ट्रपति ने तारीख 11 मार्च, 1980 को भारत के राजपत्त में प्रकाशित अधिसूचना द्वारा निम्नलिखित सारणी के स्तम्भ 1 में विनिर्दिष्ट प्रत्येक राज्य की विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों से यह अपेक्षा की है कि वे राज्य सभा के लिए उतनी संख्या में सदस्य निर्वाचित कर दें जिननी उक्त सारणी के स्तम्भ 2 में उम राज्य के सामने तत्स्थानी प्रविष्टि में विनिदिष्ट है: -

19 मार्च , 1988 (बुधबार) (ख) नाम निर्देशनों की संवीक्षा कौ अन्तिम तारीख
21 मार्च, 1980 (शुक्रबार ) (ग ) अभ्यथिताएं वापस लेने की तारीख
28 मार्च , 1980 ( शुक्रबार); तथा
(घ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि भाव- श्यक हो, तो मतवान होगा
31मार्च, 1980 ( सोमवार) (ङ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन पूरा कर लिया जाएगा ।

S.O. 155 ( E) .- Whereas the President has , by notification published in the Gazette of India on the 11th March , 1980 , called upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of each State, specified in column 1 of the Table below to elect to the Council of States the member or members specified in the corres- ponding entry in column 2 of the said Table , against that State :-

Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) of section 39 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints with respect to the said election :-
(a) 18 March , 1980 (Tuesday) , as the last date for making nominations;
(b) 19 March, 1980 ( Wednesday) , as the date for the scru- tiny of nominations;
(c) 21 March , 1980 (Friday) , as the last date for the with- drawal of candidatures ;
(d) 28 March , 1980 ( Friday) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary, be taken ; and
(e) 31 March , 1980 ( Monday) , as the date before which the election shall be completed.

फा० आ० 159 (भ) . श्री ख्वाजा मुबारक शाह के लोक सभा के लिए निर्वाचित हो जाने के कारण तथा लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 69 की उप- धारा ( 2 ) के उपबंधों के अनुसरण में उनके द्वारा राज्य सभा में अपने स्थान को रिक्स कर विए आने के परि- णामस्वरूप , राज्य सभा में जम्मू-कश्मीर राज्य को भाबंटित स्थानों में एक रिक्ति हो गई है ;
अतः , अब , उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 147 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रवत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , निर्वाचन आयोग जम्मू-कश्मीर राज्य की विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों से यह अपेक्षा करता है कि वे ऐसे हुई रिक्त को भरने के लिए तारीख 31 मार्च, 1980 से पूर्व उक्त अधिनियम के और सद्धीन बनाए गए नियमों और आदेशों के उपबंधों के अनुमार एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित कर दें ।

5.O. 159( E) . Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the seats allotted to the State of Jammu and Kashmir in the Council of States by reason of the election of Khawaja Mubarak Shah to the House of the People and the consequent vacation by him of his seat in the Council of States in accordance with the provisions of sub -section ( 2) of section 69 of the Repre- sentation of the People Act, 1951 ;
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 147 of the said Act, the Election Commission hereby calls upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Jammu and Kashmir to elect, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, a person to fill the vacancy so caused before 31st March , 1980.

अतः, अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 की धारा 147 की उपधारा ( 1 ) के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन भ्रायोग कर्नाटक राज्य की विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों से एसद्वारा अपेक्षा करता है कि वे ऐसे हुई रिक्ति को भरने के लिये 31 मार्च , 1980 से पूर्व उक्त अधिनियम के और तद्धीन बनाये गये नियमों और आदेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित कर दें ।

S.O. 164( E). Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the Coun- cil of States due to the resignation of Shri H. R. Basavaraj , a member elected to the Council of States from Karnataka before the expiration of his term of office ;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub- section ( 1 ) of Section 147 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Karnataka to elect , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, a person to fill the vacancy so caused before 31 March , 1980.

In pursuance of the provisions of sub - sec- tion ( 1) of section 39 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints for the election to the Council of States tobe held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 /CS - KK / 1 / 80( 1 ) , dated the 11th March , 1980 :-
(a) 18 March, 1980 (Tuesday) as the last date for making nominations ;
(b ) 19 March, 1980 ( Wednesday ) as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) 21 March 1980 ( Friday ) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures ;
(d) 28 March , 1980 ( Friday ) as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken ; and
(c) 31 March , 1980 ( Monday ) , as the datebefore which the election shallbe completed.

का०ग्रा ० 166 ( म) -लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951की धारा 56 के अनुमरण में निर्वाचन भायोग अपनी प्रधिसूचना सं ० 100/ रा ०स०- कर्ना०/1/ 80 ( 1 ) तारीख 11 मार्च , 1980 के अनुसरण में राज्य सभा के लिये होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिये 10 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 2 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हो तो, मतदान होगा ।
