INCOME-TAX ACT, 1961
S.O. 188(E).—In exorcise of the powers conferred by sub-section (11) of section 132 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (.43 of 1961) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of Indiu in the Departmci-t of Rovcmie and Banking No. S.O. 307(E) dated the 30th April, 1977, the Central Govern- ment hereby notifies Shri T.Y.C. Rao, Member, Central Board of Direct Taxes and ex-officio Additional Secretary to the Government of India in the Depart- ment of Revenue, as the authority for the purpose of passing orders on applica- tions against any order made under sub-section (5) of the suit! section by an Income-tax Officer with the previous approvnl of the Commissioner, not being the approval of the said Shri T.Y.C. Rao, when he was Commissioner of Income-tax.
