(1) 1. These Regulations may be called the Indian Administrative Service
(Fixation of Cadre Strength) Sixth Amendment Regulations, 1980.
2. They shall come into force on the date of their publication ID the Official
Gazette.
(2) In the Schedule to the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1955 for the heading 'Wes>L Bengal" and the entries occurring thereunder, the following shall be substituted, namely :—
(i) in entry 5 for the figures '47' the figures '49'* shall be substituted.
(ii) for the figures '209' and '266' the figures '211' and '268' shall be
substituted.
*lncludes 23 posts allowed as ad-hoc increase.
