Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of sub-sec- tion (1) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect a person to fill the said vacancy before the 6th June, 1980 in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder.

652 THE GAZETTEpF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)]S,O. 276(E).—In pursuance of section 30 of the Represen- tation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of ,1951), the Election Commission hereby appoints, with respect 10 the bye-eleuiou to be held in 13-Madhubani Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Bihar in pursuance of its notification No, 100/ BR-HP/l/80(l), dated the 25th April, 1980—
(a) the 2nd May, 1980 (Friday) as the date for making
nominations;
(b) the 3rd May, 1980 (Saturday), as the date for the
scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) the 5th May, 1980 (Monday), as the last date for
the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 31st May, 1980 (Saturday), as the date on which
a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
(e) the 6th June, 1980 (Friday), as the date before which
the election shall be completed.

SO. 277(E).—In pursuance of section 56 of the Represen- tation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 7.30 A.M. to 4.30 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken for the bye-election to the House of the People from 13-Madhubani Parliamentary Constituency, to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 10O/BR-HP/l/80(l) dated the 25th April, 1980.
