NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th April, 1980S.O. 283(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (c) of section 2 of the Terminal Tax on Railway Passengers Act, 1956 (69 of 1956), the Central Government (669) 101 GI/80

S.O. 284(E).—In exercise of the poweis conferred hy sec- tion 4 of the Terminal Tax on Railway Passengers Act, 1956 (69 of 1956), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) No. F(X)I-79|5]N-JI dated the 30th January 1980, the Central Government hereby directs that no terminal tax shall be levied on any passenger travelling by railway from or to the notified places mentioned in the Schedule annexed hereto, to or from any railway station situated within a radius of twenty-four kilometres from such notified places.

2, This notification shall have effect on and from the day

of l"t Mov. 1980.

NOTIFICATION

S.O. 285(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 3 of the Terminal Tax on Railway Passengers Act, 1956 (69 of 1956), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) No. F(X)I-79]5|8-III dated the 30th January 1980, read with the notification of the Govern- ment of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) No. F(X)1-73]5|6-TI dated the 22nd April, 1974, the Central finvemment hereby :—

(a) Fixes the rates mentioned in column H of tho Schedule annexed hereto aa the rates at which ter- minal tax shall be levied in respect of every railway ticket on all passengers carried by railway from or to the notified places specified in column I of the said Schedule, and

(b) directs that the aforesaid terminal tax shall be levi-

able with effect from the 1st May, 1980.

2. This notification shall come into force on the 1st day

of May, 1980.
