NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 11th June 1980
G-S.R. 311(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 33, regd with section 34, of the Indian Ports Act, 1908 (15 of 1908), the Central Government hereby directs that with effect from the day following the expiration of sixty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the following further amendments shall be made in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Shipping and Transport (Transport Wing) No, GSR 933(E), dated the 20th December, 1976, relating to the levy of por dpes at the Port of Visakharatnam, namely:—
In the Schedule of Port Dues to the said notification,—
(a) against item "A. Vessels entering Outer Harbour", in column(2), for the figures "5.10", the figures "3,20" shall be substituted;
(b) after Note 9 the following Note shall be added—

1. (l> This order may be called the Port of VisaU-upatnam Pilot^c and Other Services (Ftf©s) Second Amendment Order 1980.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. in the Port of Vlsakhapatrccm Pilotage and Other Services (Fees) Order, 1976, in the Schedule, for the heading "A. Vessels entering Outer Harbour", and the entries thereunder, the follow- ing heading and entries shr.ll be substituted, namely:—

1, All mechanically propelled vessels, except sailing ves- sels not exceeding J00 tons of Net Registered Tonnage.
(a) Rs. 388.50 per hundred ton:, of Net Registered To- nnage with the minimum charge of Rs. 1,942.50 per vessel engaged in for- eign trade inclusive of to- wa£e and also pilotage, mooring, remooring and unmooring operation charges with the U:.c of one or two tugs but subject to a levy of Rs. 3,774.00 per hour or part theieof for the use of third tug where the Con<;i.'rv;-.tor of the Port is of the opinion that its use is necessary.
(b) Rs. -96 03 per hundred
toi>s of Net Re gistcied Tonnage with the minimum charges of Rs. 1480 per vessel engaged in the coastal trade inclusive of towage r.s "|;o pilotage, mooring, remooring and unmooring operation charges with the use of one or (wo tugs but subject to a levy of Rs. 3,774.00 P^L" hour or part thereof for the use of a third tug where the Conser- vator of Port is of the opi- nion that ill use is nece- ssary.
