In pursuance of section 67 of the Represen- tation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951). the following declaration containing the names of the candidates elected to fill the seats in the Council of States of certain members who retired on the 2nd April, 1980, on the expiration of their term of office, is published for general information :—

"In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub-section (2) of section 53 of the Representation of the People, Act, 1951, read with sub-rule (1) of rule 11 of the Conduct of Elec- tions Rules, 1961, I declare that—
