INSURANCE
S.O. 496(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (6) of section 16 of the General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (57 of 1972), the Central Govern- ment hereby makes the following Scheme to amend the General Insurance (Termination, Superannuation and Retirement of
96 8 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)]Officers and Development Staff) Scheme, 1976, published as the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministiv of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs) No. S.O, f>27 (E), dated the 21st September, 1976, namely :—
1. (1) This Scheme may be called the General Insurance (Termination, Superannuation and Retirement of Officers and Development Stuff) Second Amendment Scheme, 1980,
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication
in the official Gazette.
2. In the General Insurance (Termination, Superannuation and Retirement of Officers and Development Staff) Scheme, 1976 (hereinafter referred to as the said Scheme)—atler the Proviso to sub-paragraph (4) of paragraph 4, the following shall be added as sub-paragraph (d):—
"(d) In respect of the Chairman and the Managing Direc- tor of the Corporation and the Chairman-cum- Managing Director of a subsidiary Company, the appellate authority and the reviewing authority shall be the Central Government."
