ORDER
New Delhi, the 5th July, 1980
S.O. 497(E) —Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industrial Development No, S.O. 426(E)/18AA/IDRA/74 dated the 8th July, 1974 (as amended from time to time) the management of the Chemical Unit of the Industrial undertaking known as Messrs. Associated In- dustries (Assam) Limited, Chandra pur was taken over under sub-section (1) of Section 18AA of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951) for a period of six years upto and inclusive of the 7th July, 1980 and the Assam Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. was authorised to take over the management of the said industrial undertaking;
And, whereas the Central Government is of opinion that it is in the public interest that the said industrial undertaking should continue under the management of M/s. Assam Indus- trial Development Corporation Ltd. for a further period of one year ;
970 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART TI—SEC. 3(ii)]S.O. 498(E).—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry (Depaitment of Induhlira.1 Development) No. S.O. 75(E)/lHbB/IURA/79 dated the 6[h February, 1979, (hereinafter referred to as the said Order ihe Central Government in exercise of the powers confci red by clause (b) of sub-Section (1) of Section 18FB of (he Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), had UecluieU that the operation of all contracts, assiuances of property, agreements, settlements, awards, standing orders or other instiurnents in force immediately befoic the date of issue of the said Order (other than those relating to secured liubilties to banks and financial institutions) to which tho Chemical Unit of the industrial undertaking known us Messrs Associated Industries (Assam) Ltd, Chandrapur or .the company owning such industrial undertaking is a party or which may be applicable to such industrial undertaking or company shnll remain ^usp?nd;d for a pcnod upto 7th July, 1979 and that all the lights, privileges, obligations und liabilities accruing or arising thereunder before the .said date shall remain suspended for the said pei jod;
And whereas the period of the operation of the said order was extended for a period of one year upto ind inclusive of 7th luly, 1980 by Government of India in the iWinistiy of Industry (Department of Industrial Development) under Older No. SO-388(E)/18FB/IDRA/79 dated the 7th July, 1979.
And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the duration of the said Order should be extended for a fuither period of one year upto and inclusive of 7tb luly, 1981.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1), rend wilh sub-section (2) of Section I8FB of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951) 1hc Central Government hereby extends the duration of the said Order further upto and inclusive of 7lh July, 19HJ.
