In exerciso of the powers couferrei] by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of- 1962J, and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (De- partment of Revenue) No. 106-Customs, ditfed th" 28th M"y, 1980. the Central Govonunent, boina satisfied that it is necessary in-lhe public interest SQ to do, hereby exempts coffee, fal ing under Heading No. 1 of the Second Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when exported QUJt of India, from so much of the duty of customs leviable thweon under the said Second Schedule as is in excess of Rs. 500 per quintal.
