CUSTOMS
G.S.R. 437(E),—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and in supersession of the notification of the Govern- ment of India in the Department of Revenue and Banking No. 177-Custorns, dated 2nd August, 1976, the Central Gov- ernment, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts Di-Ammonium Phosphate and Am- monium Nitro Phosphate when imported into India for use as manure or in the production of complex fertilizers from payment of the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) :
772 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEO. 3(i)]G.S.R. 439(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the notifications of the Govern- ment of India in the Department of Revenue and Banking Nos. 180-Customs dated 2nd August, 1976 and 21-Customs, dated 7th February, 1977, the Central Government, being ymislicd that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts muriate of potash falling within Chapter 31 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff. Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule subject to the condition that the said goods shall be proved to the satisfaction of the Assistant Collector of Customs that the same are being imported for use as manure or in the production of complex fertilizer.

G.S.R. 438(E).-—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with suh-section (4) of Section 4 of the Finance Act, 1980 (13 of 1980), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the puhlic interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 41-Cu9!oms, dated the 25th March, 1980 namely :—
In the Schedule to the said notification,—-
(a) Serial No. 56A and the entries relating thereto shall
be omitted;
(b) after Serial No. 251 and the entries relating thereto,
the following shall be inserted, namely :—..
"252 No. 144—Customs, dated the 19th July, 19H0"

G.S.R. 440(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Finance Act, 1980 (13 of 1980), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 41-Cusitoms, dated the 25th March, 1980. namely :—
In the Schedule to the said notification,—•
(a) Serial No. 56D and the entries relating thereto shall
be omitted;
(b) after Serial No. 252 and the entries relating thereto,,
the following shall be inserted, namely ;—•
"253-No. 146-Customs, dated the 19th July, 1980".
