(21 of 1976), the Central Government, being requested so to do by State Bunk of India, establishes, with effect from the 1st August, 1980 a Regional Rural Bank in the State of Uttar Pradesh under the name of Basti Gramin Bank which shall operate within the local limits of the district of Basti in (he Stale of Uttar Pradesh.

S.O. 600(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 4 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government, after consulta- tion with the Reserve Bank of India and State Bank of India, by which Basti Gramin Bank has been sponsored, specifies Basti as the place where Basti Gramin Bank shall have its head office.

MOTIFICATION
S.O. 60KE).—In pursuance of sub-clause (iii) of clause (a) of sub-section (6) of section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934), the Central Government hereby notifies for the purposes of the sajd sub-clause, Basti Gramin Bank, Basti being an institution established under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976).
