Subject : Facilities for import of raw materials, components etc. without the requirement of import licence by research and development units.
No. IPC/ 3/40/79.—Attention is invited to para 46 of the Import Policy, 1980-81 published under the Deptt. of Com- merce Public Notice No. 9-ITC(PN)/80 dt. 15-4-1980 read with para 361 (iv) of the Hand Book of Import-Export Pro- cedures, 1980-81 published under the Deptt. of Commerce Public Notice No. l0-ITQ(PN)/80 dt. 15-4-1980.
2. In persuance of the aforesaid para 361 (iv) of the Hand Book of Import-Export Procedures, 1980-81 the names of the institutions eligible to import goods under OGL in termg of the aforesaid para 46 of the Import Policy, 1980-81 ore giv"n in the Annexure to this Public Notice. The Imports will be subject to the conditions applicable to the research and deve- lopment units as laid down in Appendix 10 of the Import Policy, 1980-81.
