NOTIFICATIONS

New Delhi, the 19th August, 1980

CUSTOMSG.S.R. 478 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sab-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and in supersession of the notification of the Gov- ernment of India in the Department of Revenue and Bank- ing No. 178-Customs, dated 2nd August, 1976, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts ammonium phosphate fall- ing within Chapter 31 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported into India for use as manure or in the production of complex fertilzers, from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule : Provided that the importer shall, by the execution of a bond in such form and for such sum as may be specified (835) 590 GI/80

by the Assistant Collector of Customs, bind himself to pay, on domand in respect of such quantity of ammonium phos- phate in question as is not proved to the satisfaction of tho Assistant Collector of Customs to have been used for the aforesaid purpose, an amount equal to the duty of customs leviable thereon under tht said FirsL Schedule on suchi quantity, but for this exemption.

G.S.K. 480(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of tho Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts coking coal flow ash metallurgical coal) falling within Chap- ter 27 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported into India from —

(a) the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule; and (b) the whole of the additional duty leviable thereon

under section 3 of the second mentioned Act.

This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive of

the 30th day of lune. 1981.

G.S.R. 479(E).'—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Finance Act, 1980 (13 of 1980), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so tp do, hereby make? tho following further amendments in the noti- fication of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 41-Customs, dated the 25th March, 1980, namely:—

In the Schedule to the said notification,

(a) Serial No. 56B and the entires relating thereto shall

be omitted; and

(b) after Serial No. 255 and the entires relating thereto, tho following Serial No. and entries shall be in- serted, namely:—

"256. No. 164-Customs, dated the 19th August, 1980"

G.S.R. 481QE).—In exercise of tho powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 4 of tho Finance Act, 1980 (13 of 1380), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment m the notifi- cation of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 41-Customs, dated 25th March, 1980, namely :—

In the Schedule annexed to the said notification after serial No. 256 and the entires relating thereto the following Serial No, and entires shall be inserted, namely :—

"257. No. 166-Customs, dated 19th August, 1980".
