New Delhi, the 1st September, 1980
FOREIGN TRAVEL TAX
G.S.R. 508(E).—-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Finance Act, 1979 (21 of 1979) the Central Government, being satisfied that it if necessary and expedient so (o do, hereby exempts the Hjads of Government1) and their spouses, and the delegates, of Australia, Bangladesh, Fiji, Kiribati, Malaysia, Nauru, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tonga, Western Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and New Hebrides (Vanutu) coming to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Governments Regional Meeting (CHOGRM II) to be held in New Delhi from the 4th September 1980 to the 8th September, 1980, from payment of foreign travel tax leviable under sub-section (1) of section 35 of the said Act in respect of their international journey to any place outside India at the close of the said Meeting,
2. This notification shall remain in force upto and inclusive of the 10th
September, 1980.
