G.S.R. 51O(E)/Ess. Com./ Sugar.- -In cxerciv; of ihe poweis conferred by section 3 of Lhe h>'-,enUal Commodities Act, 1955 00 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order to amond tho Sugai (Retention and Sale by Recognised Dealers) Older, 1979, namely : —
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) This Order may be called the Sugar (Retention and Sule by Recognised Dealcis) Amendment Order, 1980.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of clause 5,—In the Sugar (Retention and Sale by Recognised Dealers) Order, 1979, in clause 5(l)(c), for Item (iii), the following item shall be substituted, namely :—•
"(iii) the animals, vehicle?, vessels or other conveyances used in carrying such stock, of sugar if he has reason to believe that such animals, vehicles, vessels or other conveyances arc liable to he confiscated under the provisions of in; Essential CommoUities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955),
and thereafter take or authorise the taking of all measures necessary for dealing with the seized properties in accordance with the provisions of the said Act"
