New Delhi, the tOth December, 1980

S.O, 947(E).— Whereas the Central Government on the report of the competent authority under the Metro Railway (Construc- tion of Works) Act, 1978 is satisfied that the right of user (Underground Right) in the land, building, etc. mentioned herein the schedule below, should be acquired for a public purpose namely, for construction of Metro Railway, Calcutta and other works connected there- with at the public expense in the city of Calcutta.

Now, therefore, it is hereby declared that in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (i) of section 10 of the Metro Railway (Construction of Works) Act, 1978, the Central Government do hereby acquire the right of user (underground right), in the land, Building etc. referred to in the schedule below. This declaration is made to all to whom it may concern. A plan of the land, building etc. in respect of which the right of user (underground right) h acquired, may be inspected in the office of the Competent Authority, Metro Railway, Calcutta.

Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Railway (Railway Board), S.O.No.5l9(E) published at page 1011/1012 in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Port II, Section 3, sub-section (ii) dated 8th July, 1980 is hereby cancelled.
