New Delhi, the 12th December, 1980
S.O. 962(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Bengal Chemical and Pharmaceutical Works Limited (Acqui- sition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980 (58 of 1980), the Central Government hereby appoints the 15th December, 1980, as the date on which the said Act shall come into force.

S.O. 963(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 10 of the Bengal Chemical and Pharmaceutical Works Limited (Acquisi- tion and Transfer of Undertakings Act, 1980 (58 of 1980) the Central Govern- ment hereby appoints, with effect from the appointed day and until further orders, Smith Stanistreet Pharmaceuticals Limited, a Government Company having its registered Office at 18, Convent Road, Calcutta, as the Custodian of the undertakings of the Bengal Chemical and Pharmaceutical Works Limited, having its Registered Office at 6, Ganesh Chandra Avenue, Calcutta-700014, which have vested in the Central Government by virtue of section 3 of the laid Act.
