CUSTOMS
.G.5.R. 8(Ey In exercise of the poweis conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary m the public interest so* t& do, hereby exempts hides, skins and leather-, tanned and untanned, all sorts .falfing wnder Head- ing No. 14 of the Second Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when cxpoited out of India, fiom so much of the duty of customs leviable thej eon unclei the said Second Schedule as is in excesf of" 10 ,per cent ad valoiem :
Piovided that nothing contained in this notification shall affect the exemption granted under any other notification of the Government of India for the time being in foice, fiom the duty of customs in respect of the said articles.
