NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 3rd February, 1982
No. 13|82—Central Excises
G.S.ll. 39(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by suh- iule (I) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Cen- tral Government hereby makes the following further amend- ments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Dopmtinent of Revenue and Insurance) No. 172]72-Central Excises dated the 24lh July, 1972, namely:—
In the said notification,—
(1) after the first paragraph and before the Explanation,
the following proviso shall be inserted, namely :—• "Provided that in case of Cellulosic spun yarn falling under Jtera No. 18-111 and cotton yarn fallinR under Item No. 18A such exemption shall apply only to such waste vain (hardwaste) as may arise prior to removal of the said Ccllulosic spun yarn and cotton yarn for weaving;"
(2) lor the Explanation, the following Explanation shall
be substituted, namely :—
'Explanation:—For the purposes of this notification—
(a) "Waste yarn (hardware)" in case of yarn falling under Item Nos. 1RJII, 18A, 18C, 18E and 18F shall mean—
(i) short lengths of such y;irn in tangled mass not capable of being disentangled without consider- able labour; or
(ii) short lengths, not exceeding three metres, of such yarn even if they arc not in the form of an en- tangled mass;
(b) "Waste yarn (hardwasle)" in the case of woollen and acrylic spun yarn falling under Item No. 18B shall mean—
(i) irregular in shape ;
(ii) loosely 'pun;

G.S.R. 40(E).—Tn exercise of the powers conferred by sub- rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (.Department of Revenue) No. 59|65-CcntraI Excises dated the 1st April, 1965.

G.S.R. 41(E).—In exeicise of the powers conferred by sub- rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the_ Minislry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 95161-Central Excises dated the 1st April, 1961, namely :—
"In the said notification, clause (.3) of the Explanation shall be omitted"
