Rate of interest per annum 2. In the Post Office (Time Deposits) Rules, 1970, in rule 11, for Table C and the Note thereunder, the following Tables and Note shall be substituted, namely :—
"TABLE—C
(for deposits made on or after the 1st October, 1979 but before the 2nd March, 1981)

8 1/2 per cent 9 1/2 per cent 10 1/2 per cent 10 1/2 per cent

Note : For deposits made on or after the 1st October, 1979, interest will bo payable annually at the rates shown in -Table—C or Tablc^-D, as the case may be, calculated 1 year 2 years
8 per cent 8 1/2 percent
at half-yearly rest."
