सा . का . नि . 222 (अ ) केन्द्रीय सरकार सरकारी बचत पत्र अधिनियम , 1959 (1959 का 46) की धारा 12 घ्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए डाक- घर बचत पत्र नियम 1960 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाते हैं , अर्थात्:-
1. ( 1) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम डाकघर बचत पत्र ( संशोधन) नियम , 1981 है ।

(2) ये 1 अप्रैल , 1981 को प्रवृत्त्त होंगे ।
2. ( 1) डाकघर बचत पत्र , नियम 1960 के नियम 11 में ( 1 ) उप-नियम (1) में निम्नलिखित परन्तुक जोड़ा जाएगा , अर्थात्:-
" परन्तु यह कि उपहार कूपन के क्रय के लिए कोई आवेदन ग्रहण नहीं किया जाएगा और 31 मार्च , 1981 के पश्चात् ऐसा कोई उपहार कूपन जारी नहीं किया जाएगा । " ;
(2) उप-नियम (2) में-
(क) खण्ड ( 1) के अन्त में ' या ' शब्द अन्सः स्थापित किया जाएगा ;
(ख) खंड ( 2) और खंड ( 3 ) के अन्त में ' या ' शब्द का लोप किया जाएगा ;
(3) उपनियम (6 ) में " या नए उपहार कूपन के क्रय के लिए आवेदन करते समय पुरानी कूपन अर्पित करके किसी अन्य व्यक्ति के पक्ष में नया उपहार कूपन क्रय करना" शब्दों का लोप किया जाएगा ;
(2) नियम 11-क का लोप किया जाएगा ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 28th March , 1981
G.S.R. 222 (E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Goverrmem Savings Certificates Act , 1959 (46 of 1959 ) , the Central Govern- ment hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Post Office Savings Certificates Rules , 1960 , namely :-
1. ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Post Office Savings Certificates (Amend- ment) Rules, 1981 .
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st April , 1981 .
2. In the Post Office Savings Certificates Rules , 1960-
(1) in rule 11 ,
(i) to sub - rule ( 1 ) the following proviso shall be added , namely :-
"Provided that no application for the purchase of gift coupons shall be , entertained and no such gift coupons shall be issued after the 31st day of March , 1981." ;
( ii) in sub - rule (2)-
(a) at the end of clause ( i ) , the word ' or ' shall be inserted;
(b) the word " or" occurring at the end of clause ( ii) and ( iii) shali be omitted;

( iii ) in sub - rule ( 6 ) , the words " or to purchase a fresh gift coupon in favour of another personperson by surrendering the old one at the time of making an application for purchase of the fresh gift coupon" shall be omitted;
(2) rule 11A shall be omitted.
