Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of sub-sec- tion (1) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect a person to fill the said vacancy before 18th June, 1981 (Thursday) in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder.

7.R T HF O A Z R T TR OF I N D IA : E X T R A O R D I N A RY [ P A RT I T —S E C.. 3(iii)lO.N. 19(E).—In pursuance of section 30 of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby appoints, with respect to the bye-election to bo hold in 26-Serampore Parliamentary Constituency in the State of West Bengal in pursuance of its notification No. 100/WB-HP7/80(1), dated the 6th May, 1981.
(a) 13th May, 1981 (Wednesday) as Ihe last date for
making nominations ;
(b) 14th May, 1981 (Thursday) as the date for the scrutiny
of nominations ;
(c) 16th May, 1981 (Saturday) as the last date for the
withdrawal of candidatures;
O.N. 20(E).—In puisuance of section 56 of the Representa- tion, of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Com- mission hereby fixes the hours from 7.30 A.M. to 4.30 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken for the bye-election to the House of the People fiom 2fi Seramporc Parliamentary Constituency, to bo held in pursuance of its Notification No. 100/WB-HP/1/80(1), dated the 6th May, 1991.
(d) 14th June, 198.1 (Sunday) as the date on which a poll
shall, if necessary, be taken; and
