O.N. 21(E).—Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the resignation of Shri Janaki Ballav Patnaik, a member elected to that House from 6 Cuttak Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Orissa;

(a) 13th May, 1981 (Wednesday) as the last dale for
making nominations ;
(b) 14th Ma/, 1981 (Thursday) as the date for the scrutiny
of nominations ;
(c) 16th May, 1981 (SaXuiday) ad the lust -lite foi the
withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) 12th June, 1981 (Friday) n", the date on which ii poll
shnll, if necc-sary, be taken; and
(e) the 18th June, 1981 (Thursday), as the date before
which the election shall be completed.

O.N. 23(E).—In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby fix.es the hours from 7.30 A.M. to 4.30 P.M. as the hours dining which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken for the bye- election to the House of the People from 6 Cuttack Parlia- mentary Constituency, to be held in pursuance of its notifica- tion No. 100/OR-HP/1/80(1), dated the 6th May, 1981.
