NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 23rd April, 1981
S.O. 352 (E).—As the Central Government is of the opinion that for facilitating the construction of Metro Railway at Calcutta, it is necessary to make such alteration of the building as described in the schedule below which is within a distance not exceeding 10 metres from the Metro alignment, therefore in exercise of the power conferred under section 21(1 )(a) it is hereby directed that owners/persons having control over such building as described in the schedule below, do demolish or make such alternations as detailed in the schedule to such building within three months from the date of publication of this notification.
Attention of the owners/persons having control over the building is also drawn to section 22 of the Metro Railway (Construction of Works) Act, 1978, in this connection, Non-compliance to the direction as made hereundcr shall invite application of section 36 of the Act along with provisions as contained in Rule 16 of RULES as framed under the Metro Railway (Construction of Works) Act, J 978.
It is further notified for information of the owner/persons having control over the building, that the Competent Authority as prescribed under the Metro Railway (Construction of Works) Act, 1978 has his office located at Second floor of the Mackinnon Mackenzie Building, 16, Strand Road, Calcutta-700001.
