S.O. 788(E),—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section ] of the Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 (34 of 1948), the Central Goveirjmcnt hereby appoints the 8th day of November, 1981 ai the date on wjiicb the provisions of Chapter IV (except sections 44 and 45 which have already been brought into force) and Chapters V and Vt [except sub- section 0) of section 76 and sections 77, 78, 79 and 81 which hhve already been brought into foice] of the said Act shall come into force in the follow- ing areas in the State of Himachal Pradesh, namely:—
