Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act. 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste in the State of Madhya Pradesh to fill the said vacancy before 31st December, 1981 in accordance with the pro- visions of the said Act and of the Rules and orders made thereunder.

New Delhi, the 25th November. 1981O.N. 87(E).—Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by the reason of the death of Shrimati Sahodrabai Rai a member elected to that House from 5-Sagar (SC) Parliamentary constituency in the State of Madhya Pradesh. (99) 988 GI/81

O.N. 88(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act. 1951 (43 of 1951). the Election Commission hciteby appoint* with respect to the bye-election to be held in 5-Saaar (SC) Parliamentary constituency in the State of Madhya Pradesh in pursuance of its notification No. 1001MP-HPUI81U) dated 25th Novem- beT. 1981 :—

(a) the 2nd December, 1981 (Wednesday), as the last

date for making nominations;

(b) the 3rd December, 1981 (Thursday), a" the date for

the scrutiny of nominations;

(c) the 5th December. 1981 (Saturday), as the last

date" for the withdrawal of candidatures;

(d) the 27th December, 1981 (Sunday), as the date on

which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
