S.R.O. 29-E.—Whereas the Central Government, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Defence, No S.R.O. 10-E, dated the 2nd March, 1981, had declared that for the administration of the Meerut Canton- ment, it was desirable to vary the constitution of the Cantonment Board, Meerut;
And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that for the administration of the Cantonment Meerut, it is desirable to extend the term of office of the said Board;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-section (4) of section 14 of the Canton- ments Act, 1924 (2 of 1924 ),the Central Government hereby extends the term of office of the said Board upto and inclusive of the 2nd December, 1982.

Meerut with effect from 3rd December, 1981 :—
\. Col. V. K. Tiwari Nominated under clause (b)
of sub-section (2) of * section 14.
2. $hri Sunder Lai hia Nominated under clause (c) son of Shri Svvarup of sub-section (2) of sec- Chand Jain. tion 14.
