Sub : Export of Silver Coins
F. No. 21|3|80-EI.—Attention is invited to the Exports (Control) Amend- ment Order No. E(C)O, 1977/AM(231) dated the 2nd January, 1982, on the above subject.
2. It has been decided to ban the export of Silver Coins irrespective of the Silver Content with immediate effect. However, Commemorative proof set coins (uncirculated quality) issued from time to time will be permitted to be exported only by India Government Mint, Bombay and the Customs authori- ties will directly allow such exports. Accordingly, the entry 'Silver Coins' ap- pearing nt S. No. 78, at page 25 of the Export Policy 1981-R2 shall stand deleted.
3. The provisions of Para 223A of Hand Book of Import-Export Proce- dures 1981-82 shall not be applicable consequent to the aforesaid ban.
