2. This notification shall come into force on the 1st April, 1982.

R. 26(E):—In pursuance of the provisions of sub-clauso (ii) of clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Shipping and Transport (Transport Wing) No. G. S. R. 266(E) dated 26-3-1979, the Central Government hereby specifies tho number of persons mentioned in column 4 of the Table below to be elected by each of the bodies to represent each of the interests, shown respectively in column 2 and 3 of the said Tablo, on the Board of Trustees of the Port of Cochin :
Provided that in the case of body mentioned against serial number 6 of the said Table, being owned or controlled by the Government, the person to be elected by such body shall be appointed by the Central Government.

2. In pursuanco of sub-section (4) of section 3 of the afore- said Act, the Central Government hereby specifies the period ending with the 1st March, 1982, as the period within which the election of Trustees shall be held.
3. This notification shall come into force on the 1st April, 1982.
