In the Indian Forest Service (Appointment by Competitive Examination) Regulations, 1967, in regulation 11. after clause (C), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:—
"Provided that no penalty under clause (a) or clause (b),
as the case may be, shall be imposed except after—
(i) giving the candidate an opportunity of making such representation in writing as he may wish to make in that behalf, and

(ii) taking the representation, if any. submitted by the candidate, within the period allowed to him, into consideration."

G.S.R. 27(E);—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- jection (1) of section 3 of the All-India Services Act, 1931 [61 of 1951), read with rub 7 of the Indian Forest Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1966, the Central Government, in con- sultation with the Stale Governments and the Union Public Service Commission, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Forest Service (Appointment by Competitive Examination) Regulations, 1967, namely :—
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Indian Foreat Service (Appointment by Competitive Examination) AmendmentRegultttlons, 1982.
