1976 (21 of 1976) the Central Government on being reques- ted so to do by State Bank of India, establishes, with effect from the 27th January, 1982 a Regional Rural Bank in the State of Assam under the name of Karbi N. C. Rural Bank which shall operate within the local limits of the districts of Karbi Anglong and North Cachar Hillas in the State of Assam.

C. Rural Bank has been sponsored, specifies Diphu in Karbi Anglong district as the place where Karbi N. S3(E).—In pursuance of sub-clause (iii) of clause (a) of sub-Kcction (6) of section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 ol" 1934), the Central Government hereby noti- fies, for the purposes of the said sub-clause, Karbi N. C. Rural Bank, Diphu being an institution established under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976).

S.O. 54(E).—In pursuance of clause (a) of sub-section (6)

of section 42 of the Reserve Bauk of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934) the Reserve Bank of India hereby directs the inclusion in the Second Schedule to the said Act of the following bank, namely :—

"Karbi N. C. Rural Bank, Diphu (Assam)".
