INCOME-TAX ACT, 1961
S.O. 67(E).—-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (11) of section 132 of the Tncome-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Depart- ment of Revenue) No. S.O. 431(E) dated the 11th June, 1981, the Central Gov- ernment hereby notifies Shri S. S. Kapur, Member, Central Board of Direct Taxes and ex-offlcio Additional Secretary to the Government of India in the Depart- ment of Revenue, as the authority for the purpose of passing orders on appli- cations against any order made under sub-section (5) of the said section by an Income-tax Officer with the previous approval of the Commissioner, not being the approval of the said Shri S. S. Kapur when he was Commissioner of Income-tax.
