NOTIFICATION
Now Delhi, the 15th February 1982
G.S.R. 62(E).—Wherea* a draft of certain rulei furthfir to amend the Drug* and Cosmetics Rule?, 1945 was pub- lished as required by section 12 and 33 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), under the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Department of Health) No. G.S.R. 488
And whereas the said Gazette wai made available to
the public on the 2nd September, 1981.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 12 and 33 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), the Central Government, after consultation with the Drugs Technical Advisory Board, hereby make* the following rules further to amend the Drugs and Cos- metics Rules, 1945, namely :—
RULES
1. These irules may be called the Drugs and Cosmetics
(1st Amendment) Rules 1982.
2. In the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, in rule 3A,—
(i) In sub-rule (1), after item (S), the following pro-
viso shall be inserted, namely :—
"Provided that the functions* of the Director in res- pect of Oral Polio Vaccine shall be exercised by the Deputy Director and Head of the Polio Vac- cine Testing Laboratory of the said institute';
(il) Sub-rule (4) shall be omitted ;
(lii) sub-rule (5) shall be re-numbered ai sub-rule (4).
