No. 21-A/82-CENTRAL EXCISES
G.S.R. 81(EJ.—lu exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Cenlml Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944;, and in super- session of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No, 10/82-Central Excises, dated the 30th January, 1982, the Central Government hereby fixes a tariff value of four hundred and ninety rupees per quintal of sugar falling under sub-item (1) of Item No. 1 of the First Schedule to the said Act arid chargeable with duty ad-valorcm :
. Provided that nothing contained in this notification shall apply to sugaer re- quired by the Central Government to be sold under dause (f) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955).
2. This notification shall cofne into force on the 1st clay of March, 1982.
